Everyone around is supportive, says Prasidh Krishna

If you’re bowling second, make sure you watch every single ball of the 20 overs somebody else bowls, take all that you can from them, said Prasidh who took 19 wickets from 10 games this season

HYDERABAD: Gujarat Titans star pacer Prasidh Krishna, who had an impressive spell of two for 19 from four overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday night, thought his control over the length had been good and all the work that they had been putting in as a team and everybody around has been supportive enough for him to get to where he is now.
In the post-match briefing after Titans drubbed Sunrisers, Prasidh said his preparation would start firstly by getting control over what he wanted to do, get back into the practice, get back to the nets, do exactly what he would against somebody that he would be facing in a particular game and then from there, get on game day, look at what the pitch would be like.
“If you’re bowling second, make sure you watch every single ball of the 20 overs somebody else bowls, take all that you can from them. And, I have a lot of people around me that have played a tremendous amount of cricket. So just have a chat with them, try and make sure you hit the right areas and take it from there,” said Prasidh who took 19 wickets from 10 games this season.
For his part, Titans captain Shubman Gill said it was good to be spoiled for choice when it came to the team’s bowling attack.
“Everyone is chipping in be it Sai, Prasidh, Rashid bhai, Siraj, Ishi bhai [Ishant], even Coetzee in this game. It’s always nice to have many options when you are bowling, especially when you’re defending on these types of grounds,” Gill said.
