'Hot summer awaits you': Yemen threatens reprisal after Israel attacks Sana'a airport

A top Yemeni official has condemned Israel’s aggression against the Sana’a airport, saying Zionists must await a ‘hot summer’ as the Arab country will not back down from its decision to support Gaza until the genocide stops.
“The Zionist aggression on Sana’a Airport proves their pain from our strikes. Zionist aggression, no matter what it is, will not deter us; rather, it will push us to more and more support operations for Gaza,” said Mahdi al-Mashat, the chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council.
The official warned settlers that the regime of “the despicable [Benjamin] Netanyahu is incapable of protecting you, as the upcoming surprises are painful.”
The official also warned people around the world to “avoid traveling with companies that are still continuing their flights to Lod Airport, as they are subject to our sanctions and are not safe.”
“I tell all companies that are still continuing to arrive at Lod Airport, known as Ben Gurion, that they are exposed to danger at any moment,” he said.
Israeli airstrikes blew up the last remaining plane at Yemen’s international airport, weeks after an earlier attack inflicted major damage.
The airport had only resumed limited commercial services on May 17, after it was closed by a heavy Israeli attack that destroyed six planes 11 days earlier.
Yemen has launched hundreds of attacks on the Zionist regime and its vessels over the past months in an attempt to stop the genocide in Gaza.
‘Israel has not learned from the US’
The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah also condemned the aggression on the Yemeni airport, saying it violated all international and humanitarian laws and conventions.
“Hezbollah strongly condemns these barbaric Zionist assaults and affirms that this Israeli escalation would not have occurred without full American backing and the shameful silence of the international community.”
The movement said the aggression reaffirms that the Israeli enemy “has learned nothing from the experience of its patron, America, which failed to subjugate Yemen, its people, and its leadership, and was forced to halt its aggression.”
It said the enemy remains mired in delusions, thinking it could achieve its goals of deterring the Yemeni people or pushing them to back down from their steadfast position in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people, who face daily massacres.
Hezbollah expressed its deep pride in the “brave, wise, and courageous” stance of the Yemeni leadership and reiterated its solidarity with the Yemeni nation.
“This aggression will only increase their resolve, might, courage, and determination to continue their path until the genocidal war is stopped and the siege on the people of Gaza is lifted.”
Hezbollah called for the “strongest possible condemnation” from all free nations and peoples of the world and urged effective and impactful action to lift the unjust blockade imposed on dear Gaza and noble Yemen.
The movement also renewed its call on Arab and Islamic nations and peoples to stand alongside the dear Yemeni people and support their courageous and noble stance in support of Palestine and its steadfast people.
