A court in Barcelona, Spain, has launched a probe into the Maersk shipping company’s alleged delivery of arms to the Israeli regime.

Media reports said on Monday that the Barcelona court is investigating the shipping giant for allegedly supplying the zionist regime with American-made weapons in the past six months.

Catalan News Agency (ACN) reported that the pro-Palestinian right group, Prou Complicitat amb Israel (Stop Complicity with Israel), had lodged the complaint against the Copenhagen-based company.

ACN reported that the Catalan-based pro-Palestinian rights group is calling on Spanish authorities to identify the captains of two vessels, Nexoe and Detroit, which it alleges were involved in the arms shipments to Israel.

Maersk’s legal representative in Spain and the two captains were summoned to the court last Wednesday to testify this Monday.

The pro-Palestinian rights group has long accused Spanish ports of being used by cargo to transfer arms and weapons to the Israeli regime.

The Spanish government banned arms sales to the Israeli regime following the Zionists’ October 2023 launch of a genocidal war against the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

In the meantime, Madrid has proved to be one of Europe’s most critical voices condemning the Israeli forces’ brutal onslaught in Gaza, which has taken nearly 53,000 lives so far.
