HYDERABAD: “Whenever LSG is in a tough situation, I like to play under pressure and I like that and when I was batting with Samad (Abdul), I was thinking about how to win for my team,” Lucknow Super Giants top-scorer Ayush Badoni (74) said after his team lost to Punjab Kings in Dharamsala on Sunday night.
“I think the total was too big but it was chaseable because the wicket was very good. But our power-play was not good. So, if it would have gone well, I think the result could have been anything,” Badoni said in the post-match briefing.
“I think they did better batting than bowling, especially Prabhsimran and all the other batters. So, we should give them credit,” Badoni said.
On Shahrukh Khan not playing in the game, Badoni said it was the team’s decision and they must have thought the right thing.
“It was a good wicket for both the teams. It was a good seam for the batter and especially for the fast bowler. So, I think it was a good wicket,” he said.
“I think there was a little help in the new ball for the pacers. But overall, it was a good wicket for a cricket match,” Badoni said.
Reflecting on the batting order, he said that the batting order was the decision of the coaches and the captain. “So, I can’t say much about that,” he said.
